The New York City comptroller released a new report discussing concerns about the reliability of Citi Bikes, especially in low-income neighborhoods.
The report found cases of unusable stations, longer wait times and broken bikes.
Comptroller Brad Lander says he wants to renegotiate a deal with Lyft, which owns Citi Bike, to overcome these issues.
Lyft responded to that report saying, "A larger service area and unprecedented ridership, all in the wake of a global pandemic and shifting commuter landscape, have brought new challenges that require creative solutions."
