Many people only have to endure this week's frigid weather during their commute, but others spend their entire work day battling the elements.
News 12 Reporter Katie Lusso has been working outside in the cold all day, but she found many others who do too, including postal and constructions workers.
At the borough's 4th Avenue and 9th Street subway stop, crews say they work outdoors year-round, which forces them to adapt to everything from scorching heat waves to freezing snowstorms.
The workers say they have to get the job done, regardless of the weather.
