Local skateboarders are enjoying the unseasonably warm weather at the revamped Cooper Park in Williamsburg.
"December skating, it's awesome," says Phil Imhof, of Bushwick. "Unfortunate due to possible climate issues, but good for skateboarding."
The skate park opened Friday after a $2.8 million renovation by Councilman Antonio Reynoso's office.
It features ramps, rails and other obstacles.
Skaters say they're happy to have the new space since skateboards are prohibited in many areas around the city.
