A Crown Heights restaurant is still facing backlash for décor that depicts fake bullet holes covering their walls.
Community members voiced their concerns at a town hall Thursday night, speaking directly to the owner of the infamous Summerhill restaurant, Becca Brennan.
Protests have taken place outside Summerhill since it opened five weeks ago, with some saying the fake bullet holes are exploiting a community already affected by gun violence.
"I think the biggest misconception is that I use this as a marketing tool," says Brennan. "I kept a wall for one reason … to keep the integrity of a 100-year-old building."
