Custodians who worked around the clock to make repairs to storm-damaged schools were honored today by the public advocate.
James Bond and his team of custodial workers were treated to an early Thanksgiving meal from Public Advocate Bill DeBlasio.
Bond and his team worked 14-, 15- and sometimes 16-hour shifts to help get multiple storm-damaged schools back up and running. One school they worked on, I.S. 211, was reopened two days ahead of schedule.
