Demonstrators gathered out of Madison Square Garden Wednesday night to call on Mayor Eric Adams to reinstate the jobs of thousands of city workers who did not comply with the city’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
This comes as vaccine mandates were recently lifted for performers and athletes.
City workers are now calling on the mayor to ask for their jobs back. They say the terminations don’t make any sense.
Over a dozen demonstrators shared their frustration with the city. Many say they have been out of work because they didn’t comply with vaccine mandates.
News 12’s Phil Taitt spoke with demonstrators outside the Garden as the Knicks took on the Brooklyn Nets.
