DEP, local leaders host flood preparedness event in Bushwick

The Department of Environmental Protection and elected officials posted a flood preparedness event in Bushwick on Tuesday evening.
Community boards and other organizations teamed up to supply residence with flood barriers, pumps and flood sensors.

“I’ve actually had experiences with leaking in my apartment," said Elana, of Crown Heights. "I’m feeling very unprepared and I’m actually about to reach out to my landlord to see if he can do something to prepare me because now, I’m a bit worried about what that’s going to look like.”
