A beloved diner has returned to Brooklyn Heights with a new name and look after being forced to close during the COVID-19 pandemic.
After just three days of being open, staff at Montague Diner have been working around the clock serving community members at the new eatery.
“The neighborhood has really needed a new fun diner to come to and once they opened we were ready to come down and try it out,” said Irene, a customer.

The diner served the community for two decades when it was known as the Happy Days Diner before it shut down due to the pandemic. The ownership group spotted it on the market back in August and wanted to bring back a classic diner to the community.
The diner is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
