With back-to-school madness around the corner, doctors are reminding parents to get their children the necessary vaccinations.
Dr. Warren Seigel, of Coney Island Hospital, says parents should check their school's vaccine requirements, which can change from year to year.
He says parents shouldn't wait until the last minute to get their children shots. Seigel says parents should also consult a doctor if they are unsure which vaccinations that have already received.
One parent who spoke to News 12 said they wanted their child protected against diseases that could be imported from outside the United States.
