Doctors are rallying outside Woodhull Hospital today demanding more respect for health care workers and patients from the city's public hospital system.
The doctors and other employees say they want to have more input in the city's public hospital system's decisions. They also want a new contract after working without one for five years. Ultimately, the doctors say they want to help improve patient care.
President of the Doctors Council SEIU Dr. Frank Broscia says he hears about the problems about long wait times and issues scheduling appointments from patients. He says the issues are constantly brought up, but the Health and Hospitals Corporation is "turning a deaf ear" to every recommendation and suggestion.
News 12 Brooklyn reached out to the HHC for comment, but has not yet heard back.
