DOJ: Ex-Jets WR charged in $24M scheme to obtain COVID-19 relief funds
An NFL wide receiver released by the Jets on Tuesday has been charged for his role in a $24 million scheme that defrauded the Paycheck Protection Program meant for COVID-19 relief aid, according to the Department of Justice. 
Joshua Bellamy, 31, has been charged with wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud. He was arrested this morning and was scheduled to appear before a judge in the Middle District of Florida.
