A generous donation will finally allow a Bronx family to bury a loved one who was killed more than four months ago.
Morrisania resident Kendall Greene, 30, was working at Lexington Grocery in East Harlem in March when police say a man came in and stabbed him in the chest. His family say they've tried to collect employment benefits for the funeral ever since, but the store claims Greene was never an employee.
According to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, the Coney Island Memorial Chapel has agreed to cover all of Greene's funeral costs. There is no word yet on when the services will be held.
