A dangerous intersection in Midwood will receive more traffic control after a recent approval by the Department of Transportation.
The intersection at Avenue I and East 24th Street is expected to receive a traffic light this February.
The approval comes in response to community requests for safer streets.
"It's very dangerous,” says resident Jeannett Smith. “Cars don't respect the signs, they have a sign right here that says stop and they just passed by like crazy."
"I think it's going to help in terms of increasing community safety and outreach," says resident Henry Goodelman.
