The Department of Transportation (DOT) confirms that a ?no standing? sign on a street in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn is here to stay.
The DOT dismisses published reports that say the sign is a fake. Officials recently posted the sign on a stretch of Front Street to replace a missing sign. Some drivers feel the change is unfair because it further restricts parking in an area where spaces are already limited.
Drivers face a $60 fine and a $200 towing fee for parking by the sign.
