Police are searching for the driver who hit another vehicle twice on a Bronx street Friday before fleeing the scene.
According to officials, a driver rear-ended another car heading eastbound on E. 187th Street at Crotona Avenue around 2 a.m. Police say when the passengers in the first vehicle tried to get out, the hit-and-run driver struck their vehicle again.
Two passengers were seriously injured and were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.
Police describe the suspect's vehicle as a small, white sedan with passenger-side damage.
Neighbors say accidents are commonplace at the intersection. At least four accidents have occurred there so far this year, according to the Department of Transportation.
