A man who allegedly crashed his vehicle into the second floor of a Washington Township home, killing one person and severely injuring another, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter.
The Warren County Prosecutor’s Office says John Nunn was driving drunk when he lost control of his car, struck a landscaping feature and crashed into the second floor of a home where the victims were sleeping. The crash happened on Feb. 6. around 2 a.m.
One person died and another remains seriously injured.
Officials say that Nunn was driving in excess of 100 mph at the time of the crash. They say that he had a blood alcohol level of .118 when his blood was drawn five hours after the incident.
Nunn was previously charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. But prosecutors announced on Friday that he would also face aggravated manslaughter charges, aggravated assault charges and several others related to the crash.
He could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted on the aggravated manslaughter charge.
