A group of young girls and women in East New York and uniting to empower one another.
More than 350 girls and women from 35 schools came together to deepen understanding of the Girls Empowerment Movement's (GEM) core values - strength, confidence, beauty and voice.
Some girls sported pink bows, tiaras and more for the events. Speakers, dancing and a panel of dynamic women rounded out the day of listening and learning.
