A day after learning their assemblywoman was indicted on corruption charges, voters in one Brooklyn neighborhood are split in their reaction to the news. Officials say Diane Gordon (D-Brooklyn) was caught on videotape demanding that a developer build her a $500,000 dream home in exchange for using her influence to steer a city-owned vacant lot into his hands. While some East New York voters say the charges lessen their faith in Gordon, others say they will continue to support her until all the facts are available. Gordon, 57, who was arraigned Monday, was released on $35,000 bail and is due back in court in November. Her lawyer says she backed out of the deal before any agreements were finalized and therefore never broke any laws.
