Eastchester residents are calling for changes at the dangerous intersection at East Gun Hill Road and Eastchester Avenue. Pedestrians say there are no stop signs in the area and that speed guns have caught cars traveling at 40 mph. They say crashes happen once a week, putting students who attend a nearby school and the rest of the community at risk. Police do patrol the area and the intersection is equipped with red-light cameras, but residents say the Department of Transportation needs to improve its safety efforts.
