The man accused of setting an elderly woman on fire in a Prospect Heights elevator has pleaded guilty.
According to police, Jerome Isaac waited for 73-year-old Deloris Gillespie in her building, sprayed her with gasoline and lit her on fire. Isaac told investigators that Gillespie owed him money for handy work, and had previously pleaded not guilty.
Isaac is expected to serve 25 years to life for murder and 25 years for arson. His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 30.
