An EMS station in Canarsie kicked off Labor Day weekend with an international food festival for its workers.
Organizers say the festival began last year because their workers come from so many different cultures and nationalities. EMS worker Ray Laurie says the station house is like a family and it's a way for everyone to bond.
The station house plans to continue the tradition next year.
