The farm in East Setauket has been run by the Benner family
for 40 years
“Benner's Farm is a working farm so that means all of our
animals have jobs, and we are showing people
what it was like 250 years ago when you had to raise your own food,” says David
Benner.
They're open to the public one weekend every month, the next
one is the first weekend of May.
You can see over 100 animals,
including the spring babies.
You can buy food and feed the chickens
And the goats will eat right out of the palm of your hand.
On Mother's Day you can watch sheep shearing. They also host
children's programs and summer camp.
