Former Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz has been named to the Brooklyn Board of Directors at the American Heart Association.
After leaving his position as borough president for 12 years, Markowitz become the vice president of the borough promotion and engagement for the city's tourism organization, NYC & Company.
Markowitz is now helping the AHA spread awareness of heart-related health issues.
