Michael Cohen, former attorney for President Trump, arrived Monday at the Otisville Correctional Facility in Orange County where he will spend the next three years behind bars.
Cohen is serving time in a hush-money scandal involving two of the president's alleged mistresses.
Cohen spoke out one last time as a free man Monday as he prepared to report to federal prison.
"I hope when I rejoin my family and friends that the country will be in a place without xenophobia, injustice and lies at the helm of our country,” he said.

The now-disbarred attorney entered a black Escalade and was escorted 70 miles north to the Otisville Correctional Facility.
Cohen pleaded guilty in a hush-money scandal involving payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal, who threatened to speak up about alleged affairs with Donald Trump during the presidential campaign.
The 53-year-old, who is the only person charged in the scandal, reportedly requested to serve his sentence in Otisville, a medium security facility with a minimum security satellite campus for non-violent offenders.
The institution was ranked No. 1 of America's 10 "Cushiest Prisons," and houses other high-profile felons like NFL star Darren Sharper, Jersey Shore Star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentiono and former New York State Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos.
Cohen will join about 800 inmates who call the Otisville Correctional Facility home.
