A 95-year-old woman was killed in a house fire Saturday afternoon in Canarsie.
The flames broke out just after 3 p.m. Saturday at 1358 East 93rd St.
Firefighters told News 12 that Anna Barthelemy was found in the basement. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
They also said that a television in the basement had exploded. It was not immediately clear if that’s what sparked the fire.
The woman's aide and her daughter were also inside the home when the fire started.
