A nearby car in a bank parking lot was also destroyed as a result of the flames.

4h agoA fire tore through a home on Flatlands Avenue in East Flatbush on Monday, according to the FDNY.
The house is located directly next to a TD Bank at the intersection of Remsen and Flatlands avenues.
A nearby car and the house were both destroyed, and the canopy of a neighboring home suffered extensive fire damage. The car that was destroyed was located in the parking lot of the bank.
The fire was put under control on Monday afternoon and there are no injuries reported at this time. Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
