FDNY: Heavy fire breaks out at factory loading dock

The fire was put out, and no civilians were injured during the blaze. One firefighter suffered an injury that was not considered life-threatening.

A heavy fire broke out along George Street at a factory’s loading dock area on Thursday, according to the FDNY.  
Fire officials say that the fire broke out around 1:20 p.m. and required over 40 pieces of firefighting apparatus and 140 fire and EMS personnel to subdue the flames. 
The fire was put out, and no civilians were injured during the blaze. One firefighter suffered  an injury that was not considered life-threatening.
Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
