The final farewell to city EMT Frederick Whiteside was held at the Christian Cultural Center in Canarsie on Wednesday.
Whiteside was working his normal shift at EMS dispatch nearly two weeks ago when he went into cardiac arrest and later died.
At his funeral, those who knew him best said he will be remembered as a dedicated father and EMT.
"Whenever you ask him how he's doing he would just say, 'just peachy,' so that was definitely his catchphrase," said Michael Fields, FDNY's EMS chief.

Whiteside started his career in 2002 and worked in both the Bronx and Brooklyn.
