Citizen video shows a chaotic scene with firetrucks packing the streets on Empire Boulevard between Kingston and Albany avenues just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
No injuries have been reported but there is property damage.
At this hour, the fire marshals are working to determine the cause of the explosion.
