A New York federal judge has ordered the city to temporarily continue allowing religious groups to worship in schools.
The judge wants to look at the issue after lawyers representing the Bronx Household of Faith requested a federal injunction to remain at P.S. 15. The congregation is among churches throughout the city battling for the right to hold services in rented public space.
The Department of Education argues it blurs the line between separation of church and state.
The judge is expected to rule on a possible injunction later this week.
