Firecracker set off on school bus headed for Brooklyn Dreams Charter

One person was seriously hurt after a firecracker went off on a school bus in Flatbush.  The bus made an emergency stop at Ocean Avenue and Dorchester Road at around 7:30 a.m.  According to police,

One person was seriously hurt after a firecracker went off on a school bus in Flatbush. 
The bus made an emergency stop at Ocean Avenue and Dorchester Road at around 7:30 a.m. 
According to police, 11 people were taken to the hospital for observation and five others were treated at the scene. 
A Department of Education spokesperson says the bus was carrying students from the Brooklyn Dreams Charter School. 
The bus company reported that one or two children set off the firecracker.
