A 5-year-old Brooklyn girl was struck and killed Tuesday by an SUV as she crossed the street to board a school bus in Williamsburg.
The girl was walking in an intersection on Marcy Avenue and Middleton Street when the driver of the bus said a speeding SUV ignored his outstretched stop sign and honking. He said he watched as the female driver plowed into the girl. The child was later pronounced dead at Brooklyn Hospital.
Police are continuing to investigate.
