A Flatbush family says it doesn't know what to do after receiving eight DSNY trash bins that are the wrong size and specifications.

The family reached out to News 12 to help resolve the problem. They spent nearly $450 on the mandatory bins, one trash and recycle bin for themselves, the same for their daughter, and the remainder for their church.

However, the sizes and specific types of bins that they ordered did not show up.

Eleanor Riley showed News 12 her paper trail with Otto, the manufacturer of the bins, which works closely with DSNY.

“This is the letter I sent to them, saying we got the wrong order."

But it’s been months and no resolve. DSNY told News 12 that this is Otto’s responsibility to handle. However, they said they would also look into it.

Within hours of News12 reaching out to DSNY, the Riley family was contacted by Otto and were told the situation will be resolved some time today.
