A new flea market is trying to bring more crowds to Bushwick.
From handmade jewelry and candle makers, to cake pop bakers and more, the "Shwick" features Bushwick-based artisans. The market opened in October and its goal is to draw more visitors to the neighborhood.
Organizers Christopher and Jinyen Carew say Bushwick is a thriving neighborhood filled with creativity and they want people to experience that. They say the market has become a hub to draw attention to Bushwick-based businesses.
Shwick is open Tuesday through Friday, and every weekend. Tons of vendors already participate in the market, and the organizers are hoping they can keep expanding.
