A new sandwich shop in Park Slope that is taking over Brooklyn’s taste buds has been voted the third and final winner of News 12's Food Fight.
Chef and owner Mark Mellinger says the signature item at
Prospect Provisions probably helped the restaurant to receive over 20,000 votes.
"Chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomato, bacon and fresh mozzarella on an everything brioche roll. It's amazing,” says Mellinger. “And that's our Flatbush Avenue."
Mellinger says most of the products used are locally sourced and all the meats are roasted in house each day.
Prospect Provisions is making sure to pay tribute to Brooklyn with just about everything on the menu named after different locations across the borough.
There is a Grand Army Plaza sandwich with roast beef top and house-made mozzarella-stuffed in garlic bread.
"I can't thank our family, friends and most importantly our customers for the amount of support and love that they showed us through this process,” says Mellinger.
