A clipper storm making its way through the area is packing wild winds along with the chance of some light springtime snow for Sunday.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the borough from midnight to 2 p.m. Sunday. Wind gusts are expected to range around 40-60 mph.
Temperatures will drop overnight into Sunday morning, and some areas will see passing showers and possibly some light, wet snow. There won't be much accumulation, but some areas could see light snow continue into Sunday morning, possibly totaling a coating to an inch in grass-covered areas.
Skies will clear gradually for the rest of the day Sunday and it will become mostly sunny by afternoon, but it will remain cold and windy, making it uncomfortable to be outdoors. The high temperature will only reach about 43 degrees. The strong wind gusts should taper off by Sunday evening, but more snow showers could arrive with another clipper system Sunday night into Monday.
Monday will see more chilly temperatures and more wintry weather. It's expected to be cloudy with periods of snow, changing to rain.
Tuesday will be partly sunny and breezy, with highs near 41 and lows near 26.
