Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo was subpoenaed to testify before a House committee about his administration's nursing home policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Families who lost loved ones argue the governor acted inappropriately when he mandated that nursing homes must admit patients even if they tested positive for COVID-19.
A spokesperson for Cuomo is calling the subpoena an "election year stunt" and says the issue was already reviewed three times by the Department of Justice, as well as Congress. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office say it didn't find any wrongdoing.
Cuomo's deposition is scheduled for May 24.
