Former NJ Gov. Chris Christie released from hospital after
treatment for COVID-19
Former Gov. Chris Christie was released from
Morristown Medical Center Saturday after spending a week there being treated
for COVID-19.
He made the announcement on his Twitter feed this morning:
The former New Jersey governor checked himself in last
Saturday with mild symptoms after testing positive for COVID-19. He made the decision
based on his history of asthma and recommendations from his physician.
Christie was present at the ceremony for Supreme
Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett on Saturday, Sept. 26 in the White House Rose
Garden, where at least 12 other attendees came down with the virus, including
President Donald Trump.
He also helped the president prepare for the debate last
month.
