Brooklyn residents are flocking to a new Caribbean restaurant in Crown Heights
The Food Sermon, located on the corner of Rogers Avenue and Sullivan Place, is often packed with customers and has lines out the door for the home-cooked-style cuisine.
Owner Rawlston Williams says he has always had a passion for cooking, and when he first opened the restaurant, it was for catering only. The food was too good and the demand too high to ignore, so he opened his doors to the general public.
The restaurant is quickly becoming a staple of the Crown Heights community.
Williams says what makes his food different than the rest is the combination of traditional Caribbean foods with a more contemporary and original taste.
