One Williamsburg shop has got residents covered when it comes to peppers, whether their taste buds are drawn to salty, sweet or smoky sensations.
Heatonist, located on Wythe Avenue, offers sauces made by small, independent hot-sauce makers from around the globe.
Owner Noah Chaimberg says he opened the store after losing a taste for something as rudimentary as Tabasco. Seeking more eclectic sauces, Chaimberg says he decided to branch out and open Heatonist, the first of its kind in Brooklyn.
Unique flavors offered at Heatonist include classic Louisiana sauce, ghost pepper, blueberry and smoked habanero.
