A French cafe has opened its doors in Brooklyn after expanding from its original Staten Island location.
Le French Tart in Park Slope on 5th Avenue serves up authentic crepes and croissants along with fresh cheeses and sausages.
Owner Laurent Chavenet opened the Brooklyn location a few weeks ago to cater to what he says is a large amount of French people in the area.
"It's what I always wanted to do, to be when they pass the door they feel they're in France, they see the French products on the wall, they see the French chef working in the kitchen and all the French products and the French music," says Chavenet.
Chavenet owned a bakery in Paris before moving to the United States 17 years ago.
