If grilling season for you can only mean a classic all-American burger, maybe a trip to Bed-Stuy's Pilar Cuban Eatery will change your mind.
The restaurant makes a frita, which may look like a burger but has chorizo sausage mixed in.
At Pilar, the chorizo is made in-house. They grind it, stuff it, cure it and smoke it for 24 hours before serving.
