A gas leak sparked evacuations at five buildings on Glenwood Road in Canarsie.

First responders say it appears that workers struck a gas line.

National Grid says crews rushed to the scene and stopped the leak by around 3 p.m

Nobody was hurt. National Grid is investigating the cause of the leak and said service was being restored.
