The Bronx is in for a classic mid-August weather roller coaster, with heat sticking around today before a refreshing change arrives just in time for the weekend.

Sunshine will mix with clouds as temperatures climb toward 90 degrees. The afternoon could bring a spotty thunderstorm, so keep an eye on the sky if you're spending time outdoors. On Wednesday a little relief arrives as humidity drops. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with another warm day in the upper 80s.

On Thursday temperatures again approach the upper 80s. A few thunderstorms could develop, mainly later in the day, adding some uncertainty to outdoor plans. The big change arrives Friday, with drier, less humid air and plenty of sunshine. By Saturday and Sunday, temperatures ease into the lower 80s, making for a much more comfortable weekend across the Bronx.
