A rooftop collaboration in The Bronx helped kick off the spring season Sunday by spreading the word about sustainability.
Sustainable South Bronx, Grow NYC, 98.7 KISS FM and local shops all came together for a celebration at the Bronx Terminal Market. Organizers say that teaching residents how to go green will help the borough lose its reputation for unhealthy lifestyles.
Shoppers walked away with a free plant, as well as tips on how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
