? The arrest of a homeless man for the 10-alarm Greenpoint warehouse fire has many neighbors questioning whether he acted alone.
Police say 59-year-old Leszek Kuczera confessed this week to accidentally starting the fire while trying to burn the insulation off copper wires, which he planned to sell. News 12 Brooklyn has learned that Kuczera allegedly told police as many as five other people were with him when the fire broke out. Residents say the large warehouse was a popular spot for homeless people. Some also believe the property?s owner was involved.
Joshua Guttman is facing more than 400 charges for allegedly failing to maintain the property prior to it burning down. Kuczera is due back in court next week on burglary and arson charges.
