Festivities are underway at the Greenwood Cemetery as hundreds came out to celebrate the Mexican holiday of Dia De Los Muertos.
The cemetery hosts this celebration for the holiday every year, where families left offerings at the altar, lit electric candles, wrote notes and left personal keepsakes to remember their loved ones.
Those celebrating also lined up just outside of the chapel to get food from local Sunset Park vendors and watch performers take part in the celebration.
Participants tell News 12 that this holiday helps them with the grieving process of losing a loved one.
