Dangerous algae blooms have been found in the water in Central Park and Prospect Park.
The city is warning people and animals to stay away from the lakes.
The harmful algae is easy to spot, because it changes the color of the water and creates surface scum.
Experts say they found a high number of the toxic organisms in most of Prospect Park Lake.
According to the CDC, symptoms can include, irritation to eyes, nose and throat, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea and headaches.
This is not the first time algae bloom has been found in Prospect Park Lake.
Experts say it is not possible to tell whether algae bloom is toxic or not just by looking at it.
