A nonprofit group that's out to combat obesity and promote healthier lifestyles got kids up and moving in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Saturday.

Body Sculpt of New York is seeking to promote better health through nutrition and physical activity. It hosted a fundraiser today that doubled as an event to get the community active.
Donors danced to Zumba while children tossed miniature footballs and played tag.
Body Sculpt President Vince Ferguson says getting started early is vital to leading a healthy life. "We bring in kids from all these different communities so they can learn and find out what it takes to be healthy... If you start children young by eating healthy and participating in physical activity when they get older they continue that's the key."
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward the group's annual Children's Sports and Fitness Expo, which is slated for June.
