Residents all across Brooklyn are joining a growing protest over the killing of Trayvon Martin in February in Sanford, Fla.

Martin, who was unarmed, was killed by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman, who claimed that he killed Martin in self-defense.

In Bedford-Stuyvesant, the Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance Corps donned hoodies in support of Martin.

In East New York, students at the East New York Family Academy High School wore hoodies in support. Normally, hoodies are banned in the school, but the principal lifted the ban to allow the peaceful protest.

The protest also stretched to Albany, where six state senators wore hoodies in support for Martin.
